About a month ago, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's chief organist Richard Elliot, pictured with Joseph to the left was invited to perform at the Trinity Methodist Church in downtown Denver. We enjoy watching the weekly broadcasts of Music and the Spoken Word put on every week by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Richard Elliot is one of our favorites. So, when we were told about the concert we simply had to go. The performance was outstanding. The last half of the concert was a 45 minute piece written by a Russian composer that he played from memory, not a single sheet of music in front of him. Joseph has been taking piano for over four years now and has become quite accomplished, perhaps someday he can be that good.
